WHAT ARE SONIC TOOTHBRUSHES?
We have collected 10 facts about sonic toothbrushes.
1. What is a sonic toothbrush?
A sonic toothbrush is an electric toothbrush which, unlike the more common rotary brushes which oscillate, has a longer head reminiscent of the commonly known manual toothbrush. Furthermore, only the bristles move and not the entire brush head. The "bass technique" is used, which experts call the "golden toothbrush technique".

2. How does a sonic toothbrush work?
The sonic technology is based on fast, lateral bristle vibrations, which develop a highly effective cleaning effect through over 30,000 vibrations. The fine bristles of a sonic toothbrush vibrate 100 times faster than those of a manual toothbrush. OurVIBE 3 even creates up to 40,000 vibrations. These vibrations clean your teeth surfaces and sides thoroughly and gently, helping to remove plaque without irritating your gums. This reduces the likelihood of gingivitis.
3. What are the benefits of a sonic toothbrush?
Many clinical studies show that electric toothbrushing is more effective than brushing with a manual toothbrush. And the sonic toothbrush even works without you having to scrub wildly. It is even better if you stop all the usual brushing movements. The movement of the bristles alone cleans your teeth thoroughly. All you have to do is let the happybrush glide along your teeth and it does the work for you.
4. What do you have to consider when using a sonic toothbrush?
With a sonic toothbrush less is more. A small spot of toothpaste is quite sufficient. But please turn it on in your mouth first, otherwise this little blob will turn into a huge mess! It is also helpful to spread the toothpaste in the mouth before switching it on, so that really all teeth are reached. When the happybrush is switched on, it is enough to guide it along the teeth with just a little pressure. It is best to decide on a start and end point, i.e. a "brushing plan" for the mouth. If the vibrations tickle or confuse you too much in the beginning, you can reduce the brushing time a little to get used to it.
5. Why is a sonic toothbrush a good choice?
First of all, it is very pleasant for a person changing over to the sonic toothbrush, because it is simply more reminiscent of the manual brushes you have become accustomed to. The look and feel in the mouth, apart from the initially tickling vibrations, is thus perceived more normally than with rotary brushes. Sonic toothbrushes are highly effective and at the same time they are gentle on sensitive areas of the mouth, such as exposed tooth necks or gums.
6. What is the difference between a sonic and an ultrasonic toothbrush?
Normal sonic toothbrushes operate at 30,000 mechanical vibrations per minute, which is far ahead of the 300 movements of manual toothbrushes. Ultrasonic toothbrushes work with invisible, electromagnetically generated ultrasonic vibrations, which can generate up to 1.6 million pulses per minute. Such a toothbrush only works with the right toothpaste. This causes small bubbles to burst and thus the teeth are cleaned.
7. Which toothpaste is recommended for sonic toothbrushes?
